Older. Wiser? Maybe, but definitely happier.

It was my birthday this week. In our family we celebrate birthdays for as many days as we are old, so I get 49 days of birthday celebrations this year. One of my celebrations was to spend time with two of my favorite people, my daughter and her love, Hunter. What a whirlwind to have people around and places to go after months of relative solitude.

What an absolute treat to have these lovely folx drive so far to come and visit. I am also grateful that they took every precaution and numerous Covid-19 tests just to get to me. It was a break from my studies, routine, and loneliness. Life doesn't get better than this.

Hunter and Emma left and I am back to the peace and quiet. It is a bit sad, but I am refreshed. Today, I was able to dig back into my studies with new focus and energy with my heart full of love and my house filled with new, happy memories.
